The biography of Mihály Mészáros

He took a leading role in the establishment of the Young Artists' Studio Association. 1974: IV. From 1960 to 1990, he was the foreign affairs representative of the Association of Hungarian Artists and Industrial Artists, from 1970 to 1980 he was a teacher at the Fine Arts High School, and from 1984 he was a teacher at the plastic arts department of the Basic Training Institute of the Hungarian College of Applied Arts. One of the leaders of the Nagyatád Faszobrász Creation Plant. In 1984, he worked at the Nyíregyháza-Sóstó plant. Member of the Szépmíves Társaság and the Rudnay Társaság. His early works were characterized by expressiveness. Later, he modeled works with a decorative approach, or carved. One of the innovators of the waxing procedure in Hungary. His terracottas are built on a "clay noodle" base, on which he places his portraits and grotesque compositions, then fires and sometimes colors them.
